I have been working in the third sector in South Yorkshire for 10 years. I’ve worked across all areas of fundraising and have a passion for working with small charities.

I started my career in fundraising working for a local hospice charity, my focus was on community fundraising and communications. I worked on a partnership with Meadowhall, working closely with volunteers and the wider team to reach new donors across the city. It was an excellent first step in the third sector.

From there I moved to a locally based, national charity to focus on corporate partnerships. During my time with this team we saw our income grow from £600k to £1.2m. Corporate Partnerships was a big part of that growth and I had the opportunity to work with well known national brands including Next, Canon, Thrifty Car Hire and Global Radio.

I then moved into Fundraising Management and focused on Trusts and Foundations through the pandemic and beyond. I have found a skill set which I am passionate about and have raised over £1,000,000 for small charities since 2020. I have also worked on strategic development and budget forecasting.

My most recent endeavour has been Fundraising Training. Delivering programmes for South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau. As it’s a subject I am so passionate about, I find it easy to share my experience, expertise and passion with others.
